Tata Swach voted by consumers as the “Product of the Year – 2012”

Mumbai, 2nd April, 2012: Tata Swach has been voted the ‘Product of the Year 2012’ in the Water Purifiers category. Tata Swach was felicitated as one of the innovative products on the basis of an independent survey conducted by Nielsen with 30,000 consumers across 36 markets in the country.

‘Product of the Year’ is the global consumer recognition standard that celebrates and rewards the best innovations like Tata Swach; in consumer products done through an independent consumer survey across the country — in 32 countries for 25 years. The unique methodology to judge the winner is that companies nominate their best innovations launched which are shortlisted by a jury panel of eminent citizens and very senior media people. The shortlisted products are put through an independent and 100% Face to Face consumer survey conducted by Nielsen across 30,000 respondents in 36 markets to select only 1 winner in each category.

The Award was announced in a glittering event on 31st Mar’12 at The Trident, Mumbai. Mr. Ashvini Hiran, COO Consumer Products Business and Ms Amrita Dey, AGM Marketing, Water Purifiers accepted the award on behalf of the Tata Swach team.

Tata swach has won several awards across the world for Innovation and Design, including the Asian Innovation Award - HongKong, Design Of the Decade Award - US, If Product Design Award- Germany, ICIS Innovation Award – UK.
